that's called Invasion of Privacy, if they are caught doing that, they could be in trouble, if you see it happen to you or your classmates, report it.

Joining the call automatically accepts the terms of service. This is named in the TOS so teachers are allowed to do so unfortunately. (Only if you are in the same meeting as the teacher)

Still weird how teachers are able to do this. 1) Some students aren't comfortable with showing their living space 2) If students are at home they might not want to get dressed/ready for school, so they might be self concious about being on camera.

Teachers shouldn't make the decision for you. As long as you're doing the work and getting it in on time, then all should be fine.

I always tend to have my camera unplugged, whenever I want to turn it on I'll plug it in. Other than that, it always stays unplugged which shouldn't allow traffic to access it.

Especially when you record them for the 7th time in a row because you tried to make it look nice in full screen. Then you finally realize it doesn't work in full screen..

i'm pretty sure that's not allowed, if they do that you can totally get them in trouble!
Exactly, which is why you shouldn't have your camera connected to your computer if you aren't comfortable with them doing this. It's invasion of privacy to say the least.
