i don't believe cereal is technically a soup. Cereal is just one item of food poured into a bowl with some milk. That doesn't sound like much of a soup to me.

Personally I wouldn't say its a soup because soup is a type of food that can only be soup, ya know? It's like I wouldn't call ice cubes in water: ice soup. Cronchy cereal aint like soft chicken noodle soup!

yes, but no. Due to my research, the definition to 'soup' is "a liquid dish, typically made by boiling meat, fish, or vegetables, etc., in stock or water. " MEANING that it is/isn't because in the definition is says "typically made by..." so i could be a soup, but it also says "a liquid dish". So to conclude, it is, but isn't.
