Trouble with trying to parkour on custom head blocks

Hey guys hope ya'll are doing well.

So in a lot of parkour maps, I've noticed that they use a different texture of the "head" blocks (like creeper heads, zombie heads, etc.) and every time I try to jump on one of them I completely glitch out, like I keep bobbing up and down and I can't jump or move.

For example, in the Waluigi map (easy, page 4, last row), there's one of these head block jumps right in the beginning after the piston but I literally am unable to move past that head block once I land on it.

Does anyone know why this is/have a potential fix?
I am on 1.16.3 and I'm completely vanilla.

Hey! maybe try playing on 1.8.9? Some maps might have a glitch if you're not playing on the natural version.

Hey there,

Like AriesNinja said above, you'll glitch out on heads if you're on a different version. Just switch to 1.8.9 and you shouldn't glitch on it any longer.

I actually love 1.8.9, so whenever there's a gamemode where it's 1.8.9 I play in that version. Not only do I get much higher fps (180 fps on a mac just wow) there's a bunch of cool pvp texture packs and more.

But motion control on it is so annoying.
