Well, Our system, from best to worst, goes as follows

A+ (Banned in some parts of the world, means more than 100% and is given from extra credit)
A (93-100%)
A- (90-92%)
B+ (87-89%)
B (84-86%)
B- (80-83%)
C+ (77-79%)
C (74-76%)
C- (70-73%)
D+ (67-69%)
D (64-66%)
D- (60-63%)
F (1-59%)
M (Sometimes also U, or N, and sometimes merged with F; means 0%)

My parents are proud of me when I get good grades I guess. I usually get a's or b's at school (that's what I assume coz they mark it differently in New Zealand.) but they aren't really mad when I occasionally make a mistake or something, usually they might suggest that we work on it or I study it some more.

my university has a W grade which means the score for the class will not be counted into your gpa or anything, but you get credit for passing the class.

My parents have low standards for me because i'm lazy, currently i have 2 F's which they're very mad about, a D, which they hate, 3 C's which is ok and then a B and an A, my grades are honestly getting bad and i'm trying to work them up but good job on your A's you'll succeed if you keep em up : )
