[EARTH IDEA] Remove Siege War Assemblies

Siege assemblies, since the day that sieges could be done, were the worst thing to ever happen to the SiegeWar system on Manacube Earth Towny. Why? It wastes 10 minutes of battle time, and leaves the attacking party vulnerable to attacks from players that aren't even involved with the siege in the slightest.

Example: 3 (decently but not overly stacked) players from Nation A begins a siege assembly at Town A in Nation B. Multiple (decently stacked) players from Town A attempt to contest the siege while waiting for help from Nation B to arrive. But wait, there's more. 4 (full-sva, 64 god apples, etc.) players from Nation C attack the 3 players from Nation A because they are sitting ducks and essentially would be forced to either lose their items (because they'd get chased into non-keepinventory wild by Nation C players) or give up their siege, and have to attack again a whole 12 hours later. In this scenario, we're assuming that Nation C is not an ally or enemy of either Nation A or B, so it allows them to effectively control what happens to the siege without even being supposed to be involved.

So we've established that siege assemblies make the attacking players sitting ducks, but what else do they do? They waste time. The attacking party in a siege assembly needs to score 50 points in 10 minutes, receiving 7 points per minute assuming at least one player with a military rank is in the banner's radius. However, the siege doesn't even fully start when the attacking party reaches 56/50 points (the earliest) possible. No, no, typically, the attackers have to wait until it reaches 70/50 points.

That is 10/50 minutes of a battle session wasted, forcing players to take an even greater risk by starting a siege assembly in a non-battle-session, which can astronomically increase the risks of getting chased into the wild by a more skilled and more stacked player.

So, please remove siege assemblies (or at least change them)

PS: remove battle sessions getting cancelled if there's no active sieges cause players may not realize until later smh

Oh, my days, this is completely true I hate assemblies, as much as I hate them they are quite needed to start a siege instead of putting down a banner and running away to annoy the other town/nation. Well the other part about SVAS is they either spent 1k to get op loot but on the other hand, there is an alternative! I can teach/ coach you to get better!! I spent my entire manacube journey with a sharpness 5 and I still killed people with SVAS. The Ideal load-out for a F2P player is golden apples, god apples, healing potions, strength, fire res, and speed.

Although with all these things you guys still might quickly drop because you guys aren't as good as me or skilful. Keep in mind that I'm only criticising you so you can get better, I am still a humble 15-year-old boy with humble beginnings.

ok so im going to assume that you're being somewhat serious (even tho u probably aren't), but the people with useful sva's that i could beat on a f2p setup dont ever go into wild WITH SVAS :(

like i've been trying to hunt people with SVAS but they are smart enough to watch map so they put em away as soon as i get to them

anyways, this isnt even the main problem with the SVAS stuff, the problem is it can allow outside forces that aren't allied with anyone involved with the siege to still affect the outcome... that should not be able to happen

for the last time, your opinion on sieges is invalid you literally are peaceful XD
I had to move my whole ass town just to be able to be peaceful, my opinion is valid.

also why remove sieges anyway? how would people war then? there'd be like no end goal for some people if war was removed

Wouldn't have to remove sieges if player could actually opt out completely.

we're not having this argument again, but one last thing:

you had to option to opt out and you in fact exposed the fact that you were going off peaceful, basically putting u on Trident's watchlist for siege towns, so it was kind of self-inflicted.

there is no reason to even remove sieges in the first place regardless of if players have options to opt out completely, WHICH THEY DO BY THE WAY.

you had to option to opt out and you in fact exposed the fact that you were going off peaceful, basically putting u on Trident's watchlist for siege towns, so it was kind of self-inflicted
As a new player, when I was informed that peaceful was an option I had 0 clue that I could not change my /t spawn to a different chunk while peaceful. From what I know it doesn't mention that within the wiki. Once I realised it was too late. My friend had already taken the time to build the spawn. I came to forums for advice on what to do, not to be targeted by Trident.

Had my team been able to actually play the game the way we wanted to, we would have never been involved in sieges & many of my first members would probably not have quit due to the siege.

*mind you this is the first towny server I have played that has had this kind of gameplay

Idk if this still works or not but last season you could use invis potions to hide from map and then ambush players with their coords on the map

The removed the invisible pot on map sadly because it was a "glitch"

You guys are lucky wym?? My town was f2p only 3 players had SVAS the rest had s5 ancient helmet vs yuros, pre nerfed bows, luciles. back then luciles had slowness 6 and we would almost never lose a battle cuz we were that good... Well though its not to late buddy, add me so you can get better Booters#0755

Exactly, and I never pvped xd, Im just trying to play a chill towny. If I wanted to get "sieged" at 3am I would play facs again.

Yeah? and. Was just an example since I was sieged as soon as my peaceful toggled and while I was sleep

you do not make sense?? As a factions player, you should be aware that you can get raided at any time why are you mad that you are getting sieged??
