Manacube is a server that accesses many people all around the world. Although most of those players play from the United States, it's still unfair that there isn't more inclusivity on holidays celebrated in the United States on Manacube. Even though 90% of Americans celebrate Christmas, a large majority there also celebrate Hanukkah. There should be Hanukkah holiday items as well so more people can feel included. I don't care if this is dumb to suggest. Instead of Christmas crates, there should be Holiday crates that include many holiday items for the several different holidays celebrated in the wintertime. It also wouldn't hurt to include decorations as well, like the different winter themes and decorations can include other holiday items too like a menorah.

EDIT: i'd also like to mention that i know its hard to include EVERY holiday but hanukkah is still a widely celebrated holiday in the united states and it wouldn't hurt to include it

+1 this is a good idea to make the server feel more inclusive for others who don't celebrate some holidays

I do agree that all holidays should be celebrated!

I want to also note the fact that on the 1.16 gamemodes, they did good job of straying directly from Christmas this year. There was the winter festival and you can unlock a menorah furniture item, along with other Christmas ones. Even with the Christmas crate, more specifically on 1.8 gamemodes, it felt more wintery then Christmassy this year. I hope to see them expand in the future next year to be more inclusive!

@sophiaaah <3 you keep talking about inclusivity but there isnt inclusivity for the minorities like add other country pins or something , also you keep talking about oh no there is no inclusivity for the us people yet u had crates only about u , it bugs me out when lots of crates are us related and instead of wanting to have inclusivity u want quite the opposite

Inclusivity - the practice or policy of providing equal access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized, such as those having physical or intellectual disabilities or belonging to other minority groups. (not a definition made up by me )

I dont want more american stuff , Manacube should try to have a more diverse community not having 90% us people , not having most of staff us people

ok so im ngl the staff part you're not exactly right about since basically anyone can apply that has discord and is over the age of 13 and has played a decent amount on Manacube, and yeah, they need to know how to speak english (i think) but there's like 600 million or more people that can speak it (i think ill have to fact check that)

also what are they going to do about not having 90% US players? there's essentially nothing they can do when other servers have already garnered most of the attention internationally, just look at the graphs below from google trends, the OTHER server has way more ppl searching and talking about it than Manacube does internationally. and yes, the US is factored into that, but that's "just" like 300 million ppl of the 5 billion people that have access to the internet worldwide as well as the fact Minecraft has only even sold like 270 mil copies across all platforms so yeah the US isnt a HUGE deal

also apparently the most popular place where manacube is being searched/talked about is Estonia not the US/Canada lol

eh this is more about just ppl that dont celebrate christmas in general like worldwide and statistically like 31% of people worldwide are christian so idk maybe like 30% of ppl worldwide celebrate christmas so thats a lot of people who dont celebrate christmas and manacube should account for that and add hanukkah kwanzaa and idk maybe eid al-fitr (the islamic equivalent of christmas per google someone who follows islam correct me if im wrong and also idk if eid is important to the islamic religion srsly someone correct me if im wrong)

i like that suggestion, there should be more inclusion of hanukkah, kwanzaa, and eid al-fitr for both 1.19 and 1.8 servers

there should be more international crates , because there are too many us related crates no offense
ok now this is not it cause like there wasnt actually much american-biased crates in the past 6 months cause it was like skyrim, mario summer, zelda, space, halloween, medieval, and christmas

only two of those got a clear american/christian bias so i'd say thats not bad when you consider 60%+ of Manacube's playerbase is american, christian, or both.

and yes, there was a spacex helmet and hawaiian armor set, but they were only individual items not entire crates there was still plently of non-american-biased stuff to be had

If you check in /pins theres actually country pins we just dont have a way to earn them yet. Also /balloons has many countries as well. Manacube does a decent job at including others not just USA based stuff. There were a few crates that were “usa based” (halloween? Other countries celebrate it too). I agree it should be “holiday” crate instead of Christmas but this year they added Hanukah items to calendar as well, it seems they are working on being even more inclusive but its hard sometimes to make everyone feel included. We can do better as players and suggest more inclusive items/crates they can add. Its all a learning process.

I would like to say I agree, as an Israeli and jewish person (not religious, still celebrate holidays) it sort of annoyed me to see only "christmassy" things, but this year as the first year I actively play during this time (in the past was either before i started or when i was on break) I decided to do my best to get more inclucivity and talked to Swrds before December, although i expected a bit more than a furniture item im still happy that progress is being made and i belive that this is just the start. Would love to see more jewish and other religions' holidays represented here and i can say that if staff are interested in implementing my suggestion i am happy to help out and help inform the team about more jewish holidays and would love to help find ways to implement them into the server for limited times during the holidays.
