Why do people play manacube parkour over other servers

I saw a thread this morning talking about how manacube is a bad parkour server and how there are several other servers that do it way better. I wrote a lengthy response but unfortunately the thread was deleted before I was able to post my response because there was hard adv. in it.

So I have a question for those that play on other parkour servers consistently but still come back to manacube. My question is why?

This is my answer:
Yes. I think it’s pretty clear that there are many advantages to playing other parkour servers over manacube. A cleaner mapmaking system, more consistent and balanced parkour, etc. But even with all those features manacube is still my main server.

The thing that draws me back is the people that play it or the cOmMuNITy. People here are just chill and I love y’all <3 but yea in all seriousness the community is what keeps me coming back. Everyone is so welcoming and lovely. I don’t think a Minecraft server could keep me playing forever but the people that play probably could.

The people I see on other servers just aren’t as friendly. For me it just feels like everyone is just looking to be better than everyone else, who can beat the highest rankup or do the hardest jump. It’s just different I guess and I personally prefer to just do my own thing so I guess some people would be into that.

I still think it’s super beneficial to play on other parkour servers. I certainly learned a lot playing on a lot of other ones besides manacube. But to quit manacube because it doesn’t have some feature another server has seems like just a waste. Manacube parkour is the joke of the parkour community. I agree with many of the points being brought up by them but it’s just so funny how they can’t see it. What makes the server a cool place to just chill. I get pooped on for still playing the server when I get recognized on other servers (the servers are small I’m not famous) and I just smile.

I have to agree, the community really is one of the main draws of manacube parkour.

I also personally think the fact you can be solely parkour, mapmaking, or socialising based is a pretty cool part of it, there are lots of little sub-groups within the community! But then again you can also balance yourself across these.

I think if the votes for the second server went towards a fresh stats 2nd server it would've improved the server's stance within the wider parkour community. A competitive server would act as our take on rank up parkours, and possibly attracted those looking for a less-social server and a more competitive atmosphere. That being said the maps created on manacube are normally well balanced between build, parkour and variation, so those players may not always see jumps as technical as they're used to, a probable drawback.

I have to say though, the thing that made me come back after breaks and patches of time without having the motivation to play was and is always the community- or at least some of them ;)

Okay first of all jaycub, I NEED to see that meme come to life that's brilliant XD
Second of all, my reason for coming back is everything you just described. Yes, the parkour chat can get a little hectic at times, but the community here is incredible. I can't even count the number of amazing friends I've met on parkour here. Everyone here is so quick to help out others, whereas other parkour servers you just have to stick to yourself. I love a good server where I can go to play and talk to others. Manacube parkour is the perfect place to do that!
I also personally love the fact that players can submit maps of their own. It really gets the community involved in the server and makes them feel like they've contributed! It's fantastic that this is a place where players can show off many different types of talents and skills!!

Manacube has a lot of flaws but it's always been a nice place to be. I have a lot of attachment to parkour and the general community, plus a lot of friends that I want to keep in touch with

I play many parkour servers but enjoy variety. I like some parts of the community, the mappers and those who enjoy hard parkour is always fun to discuss thing with.

Oh and I like to complainin about new maps too that's why I stay

gonna admit I absolutely hate the systems in place on this server and the only thing that makes me want to play is the mapmaking community. if the same community was on another server I wouldn't be here lol
